Why doesn't this have a name?
Because inventing one wouldn't help you. We buy in batches of a few hundred from the same factories that supply everyone, and the cases arrive unnamed. A made-up name like “Dreamy Bear Deluxe” tells you nothing the picture doesn't already say.
So each object gets a code instead. APC-0058is unique, easy to say on a call, and it's exactly what we type when we pick it off the shelf. The colour, character, shape and finish are tagged so you can still filter and search your way to it.
